JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Age Limit

Candidates can appear for JEE Main for three consecutive years after passing Class 12. Since the exam is conducted twice a year, students can avail multiple attempts within these years.

75% Criteria

For admission into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs:

  • General Category: Minimum 75% marks in Class 12 or Top 20 Percentile
  • SC/ST Category: Minimum 65% marks in Class 12

This criterion applies to admissions and not to appearing for JEE Main.
